Daniel Javier Agostini, conocido artísticamente como Daniel Agostini, es un cantautor argentino de música tropical.
Nació el 10 de Septiembre de 1973 en Merlo, Buenos Aires. Se dedicó a la música ya desde los 8 años. Dicen que en sus comienzos cantaba folklore junto a su hermana Karina. Pero su gran salto a la fama lo hizo posible con su incorporación al Grupo Sombras.
El grupo Sombras empezó en Enero de 1978; liderado por Juan y Pascual llegaría a convertirse en un autentico suceso musical 20 años después, con mas de 400.000 discos vendidos y un éxito arrollador que lo colocaba como la banda más grande de la movida tropical.
La llegada de Daniel en 1994 le dio la imagen y la sensualidad que estaban necesitando para convertirse definitivamente en un éxito. Con una rapidez impresionante, "volaba" de un lado a otro para lograr cumplir con las casi 20 presentaciones que hacían por fin de semana, arrastrando miles de fans en cada show.
Con una rara mezcla de ternura y explosión, el líder de Sombras logró que la banda tenga en su haber más de 180 fans club, repleto de jóvenes que deliran cuando decía que "la ventanita del amor se le cerro". Con ellos grabó "Niña Caprichosa" y el famoso "Boquita de Caramelo", trabajo que contenía los temas "Pega La Vuelta" y "La Ventanita" (Boquita... vendió 360.000 copias llegando al séxtuple Disco de Platino).
